Whether you’re looking to make the move to Billings, you’re looking to sell and move to a different area in the city or you’re just passing through, these community guides were made with you in mind.

In this community guide specifically, we’re highlighting one of the fastest growing areas and most popular spots in Billings - West End.

What To Do In West End Billings

West End is like ✨ that girl ✨ of Billings and if that TikTok slang makes absolutely no sense to you (don’t worry, I don’t get the references half the time either 😂), “that girl” refers to the type of person that people aspire to be.

As for West End, it's a very desirable hotspot that people gravitate towards for its vast amenities and delicious restaurants.

A few notable favorites include:

  • Sophie's Kitchen - the go-to spot in West End for breakfast or brunch 🍳

  • Bistro Enzo - the perfect date night spot for delicious Italian food paired with your favorite red wine. The vibes of this place are chef’s kiss 🤌🏼

  • Samurai - if you’re not feeling Italian food, you can opt for truly the best hibachi in town 🍜

  • Topz Sandwich Company - nothing beats a soup and sammy combo on a cold Montana day and Topz is the perfect place to grab your favorite! With a few locations throughout Billings, you may run into these as you drive across town, but it's a notable favorite in West End specifically. Oh and pro tip: the red pepper soup is my major go to in any season! 🥪

  • Soda Station - you know those days where you just want a little treat? Soda Station was MADE for those days! Montana and Utah are sort of known for soda shops like this and they are essentially exactly what they sound like - a drive thru where you can grab your favorite soda and mix it with all kinds of fun flavors! A must visit when you’re in the area. 🥤

Shopping in West End Billings

If I had to plan the perfect Saturday in West End, I’d start with brunch at Sophie’s and then drive over to Roc House for some of the best shopping in Billings. 🛍️

This women's clothing store is my go to for trendy and stylish pieces that are perfect for date nights, the boardroom (aka the closing table 😉) and casual everyday looks. Don’t skip this one when you’re in West End!

The funny thing about living in Montana is that almost everyone holds two different personas - you’ve got your business people sporting their best suit and tie one minute and the next they’re trading that fit for a camo jacket and their best outerwear for a Montana adventure. It’s just how we do it around here!

So, once you grab your new favorite blazer from Roc House, make your way to Scheels for all of your outdoor necessities. From the outside you might think this is just another sporting goods store, but as soon as you walk inside you’ll be surprised to find that it’s an entire experience that doubles as a family fun day! Think indoor ferris wheels, a cafe and various interactive games - a perfect rainy day adventure

Lastly, if you have kiddos or you need to grab a gift for a mom-to-be Bumps ‘n Bundles is your place - seriously the cutest locally owned children’s boutique.

Outdoor Adventure in West End Billings

But back to those Montana adventures I mentioned. If you’re in West End and are looking for some outdoorsy fun, two great options are Centennial Dog Park to get outside with your pup or Lampman Trail for a nice stroll or bike ride.

As mentioned, this area is truly the place that so many people desire to be, especially for the restaurants and shopping, so if that’s your style West End is likely a good fit for you!

Living in West End Billings

Now that you know all the neighborhood go-to’s, let’s dig into what it’s like to live in West End, Billings.

West End is easily one of those communities that people drive through to dream. Big, beautiful homes line so many of the neighborhoods, which is what makes the area extra special, especially as a realtor.

Oftentimes I find that this is the area that many people work towards and when they finally make it happen, it's so magical. ✨

The cool part about West End is that whether you’re the type of person that likes to be in the middle of the action and just down the street from your favorite restaurant or more on the outskirts, West End caters to both and with so many neighborhoods in the area, you’re sure to find the one that best suits you.

Schooling in West End Billings

With the level of desirability that comes with living in West End, you can bet that the schools are in close proximity, too!

While there are many neighborhoods through this community, they’re all fairly close together, making the school district smaller than others throughout Billings.

Elementary aged kids will attend Meadowlark, Will James is the designated middle school and high school students will say “go bears!” at Billings West High School!

So, what’s it gonna cost ya?

Even with all of the action happening in West End and the ability to be amongst all of the hot spots, you may be surprised to find that the price range for a single family home isn’t going to be totally outrageous.

The average cost of a single family home sits between $415,000 - $450,000 as of August 2024 making West End an even more desirable place!
